A masterpiece! Absolutely! What is this? Goatskin? It looks like the softest leather ever! And I see the Guatemalan State Bird! And Bedouin embroidery! And African cotton! And woven linen! The turquoise patch and the red embroidery talk to each other! Perfectly executed! Eijajeijajei - deeeep breath - WHAT A BAG! :-)
That is napa lamb, Yael. It is very soft, and this is the largest bag I could make without compromising strength and structural soundness. The lining, a heavy waxed cotton on damask, makes it even stronger. Still, it's a medium-sized bag like the one Jill is wearing. It falls from the hip, and is the hippest bag I've ever made, I think--not just a play on words :-) Thank you for the comments! XXXOOO
YES. Absolutely gorgeous!!! I love the earthy colours yet with accents of turquoise and beautiful embroidered red. Is that Australian Aboriginal dot painting on the brown fabric? The bag looks like living and breathing on the table.
